Business Aligned Infrastructure (BAI) is directly aligned with the Corporate Technology/Risk and Business Services (CT/RBS) lines of business for end-to-end Global Infrastructure service delivery. The BAI team delivers customized solutions that address the unique technology drivers of the CTRBS lines of business while ensuring that centralized products and services are leveraged for their economies of scale. BAI is the primary interface between the Application Development teams and Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI). We aim to deliver the best in class (quality, control productivity and people) business aligned infrastructure products and services to support our clients. Compute Services is part of BAI and provides CTRBS service excellence in operations management and project delivery focusing on cost, time to market, risk and supportability. The UNIX Platform Team provides global system, implementation, build and operations engineering for our portfolio of projects applications under support. We support 400 servers globally. These include physical and virtual machines split by web, application, database and middleware functions. As a member of our Implementation team, your primary responsibilities will be to:
* Work with Systems Engineers and Client Aligned Solutions Architects to review application environments, reconcile RTO assignments to infrastructure, gather requirements, propose solutions and implement solutions into the environment
* Perform design, build, testing, implementation and go-live tasks for assigned projects impacting the UNIX platform to ensure CTRBS successfully passes all tollgates and reviews
* Support key technology currency initiatives - virtualization, shared environment, end of life, data center, and capacity planning
* Work with Systems Engineers and Client Aligned Solutions Architects on DR planning and testing for business units/clients
* Provide and validate all implementations (physical, virtual, shared) are fully documented in accordance with BAI Delivery Process Provide subject matter expertise in UNIX and core technologies to Client Aligned Infrastructure Teams and Application Developer community
* Interface with internal and external business and technical parts and vendor management
* Provide level 3 support escalation for global level 1 and 2 resources.

Requirements |
* Strong leadership skills
* 5 years of progressive experience in computing, development, architecture or client/server n-tier support experience required.
* Experience implementing Solaris 10 solutions on Sun and Fujitsu hardware. Design experience a plus.
* Experience implementing complex AIX solutions, including Advanced Power Virtualization, on Power5 and better hardware.
* 3 years of clustering experience utilizing Veritas Cluster Server. Advanced knowledge of clustering concepts and techniques.
* 3 years configuring SAN under Solaris. Should be able to take provisioned LUNS and perform appropriate OS operations.
* 3-5 years experience with Veritas File systems and Volume Manager.
* Experience with IBM GPFS, LPAR, MPAR, DLPAR, and VIO technologies
* Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Server in a large production environment
* Strong research, investigation and evaluation skills
* Proven ability to communicate technical and production-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
* Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
* Results oriented and highly flexible in work assignments
* Effective skill and experience regarding system behavior and resolution, strong troubleshoot skills
* Strong customer service focus and excellent interpersonal skills
* Excellent documentation skills
* Vendor management experience a plus
* Familiarity with databases, web services, and middleware a plus
* Bi-lingual in both Spanish and English. Fluent English, both written and verbal communications, is required
