Business Aligned Infrastructure (BAI) is directly aligned with the Corporate Technology Risk and Business Services (CTRBS) lines of business for end-to-end Infrastructure service delivery.
The BAI team delivers customized solutions that address the unique technology drivers of the CTRBS lines of business while ensuring that centralized products and services are leveraged for their economies of scale. BAI is the primary interface between the Application Development teams and Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI). In the role of Oracle/Sybase DBA, you will be responsible to:
* Perform database administration in Sybase and/or Oracle on various OS platforms, including UNIX (Solaris, AIX and HP), Linux and NT
* Install, upgrade, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and performance tune Oracle and/or Sybase and replication servers
* Set up warm standby across data servers
* Set up table-level replication; creating replication subscriptions, functions, definitions, publications, and articles
* Implement change requests and recommend improvements for overall system performance
* Provide 24x7 support on all production databases

Requirements |
* At least 6-8 years of experience in managing Oracle and/or Sybase databases
* Experience with Solaris, Linux, AIX, Windows NT/2000; Platinum DBA Products, BMC tools, ksh, csh, sh
* Experience in SQL performance tuning
* Experience in contingency planning, problem management, change management and porting
* Experience in Sybase Replication Server management
* Expertise in shell scripting
* Ability to analyze a problem and recommend fast and accurate solutions
* Strong analytical and communication skills
* Team player
* Bi-lingual in both Spanish and English. Fluent English, both written and verbal communications, is required
