Business Aligned Infrastructure (BAI) is directly aligned with the Corporate Technology Risk and Business Services (CTRBS) lines of business for end-to-end Infrastructure service delivery.
The BAI team delivers customized solutions that address the unique technology drivers of the CTRBS lines of business while ensuring that centralized products and services are leveraged for their economies of scale. BAI is the primary interface between the Application Development teams and Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI). In the role of DB2/SQL DBA, you will be responsible to:
* Perform database administration in DB2 and/or SQL on various OS platforms, including UNIX (Solaris, AIX and HP), Linux and NT
* Install, upgrade, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and performance tune DB2 and/or SQL and replication servers
* Set up warm standby across data servers
* Set up table-level replication; create replication subscriptions, functions, definitions, publications, and articles
* Implement change requests and recommend improvements for overall system performance
* Provide 24x7 support on all production databases

Requirements |
* 3 years of experience in the installation, administration, upgrade, maintenance, performance tuning, and monitoring multi-partitioned DB2 and/or SQL databases in a UNIX environment
* Experience in logical and physical database design
* Experience in installing fix packs, patches as required for partitioned instances/databases
* Experience with implementation and support of large volume (10TB) databases
* Experience in implementing Backup and Recovery Strategies, High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies
* Experience in working with TSM
* Expertise in shell scripting
* Ability to analyze a problem and recommend fast and accurate solutions
* Strong analytical and communication skills
* Team player
* Bi-lingual in both Spanish and English. Fluent English, both written and verbal communications, is required
