Description

Business Aligned Infrastructure (BAI) is directly aligned with the Corporate Technology Risk and Business Services (CTRBS) lines of business for end-to-end Infrastructure service delivery. The BAI team delivers customized solutions that address the unique technology drivers of the CTRBS lines of business while ensuring that centralized products and services are leveraged for their economies of scale. BAI is the primary interface between the Application Development teams and Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI). As a Senior Project Manager, you will support the development and management of the project/application's business case. Develop project plan and execution approach. Utilize a rigorous process of defining client requirements and project specifications. Analyze and discuss the potential risks/benefits involved in using the specified technology solution to address the business requirement. Define purpose, clear roles, tasks, milestones, budgets and measures of success. Manage the project estimating activity. Work with Program Manager, Resource Manager and HR Team to select core team, communicate approach; present plans and gain sign-off from the business and IT leadership. Work with Resource Manager to implement resource strategy for specific organization and to implement sourcing schedule to ensure workforce coverage. Optimize utilization of talent through specific development and mobility programs. Conduct project/phase kick-off meetings to communicate individual roles and project expectations and ensure that all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively. Monitor projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing issue resolution process and taking corrective action as necessary. Execute projects per PLC with little or no supervision. Manage relationship with Application Clients and technology groups.

You will also work with QA Manager and testing team to ensure thorough testing of modules/application/interfaces. Promote and monitor compliance of application development activities with audit and information risk policies. Manage the control self assessment process to assess gaps and develop action plans addressing these gaps. Act as an interface with internal and external audit groups. Provide action plans to mitigate risk and help implement them, when applicable. Monitor financial delivery and issue management processes, escalating issues and variances to budgets where necessary. Analyze financial reports, trends to identify opportunities and resolve issues. Evaluate recommendations relating to business opportunities, investments, financial regulations and similar financial projects or programs. Work with Release Manager to ensure proper operations turnover and SLA updates. Lead the post-implementation review evaluating project results, including client satisfaction. Have a significant influence on policy formation. Play a major role in performance management either delegating or actually writing appraisals, giving personal feedback and agreeing development plans with senior team members. Promote effective teamwork and manage the resolution of interpersonal issues. Support People Management related initiatives. Mentor less experienced Project Managers. Assist in any at risk projects.


Requirements

* College degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience

* Minimum ten years of combined business, project management, team leadership and IT experience required

* Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions (e.g. transaction management, risk management etc.) and industries

* Knowledge of CMM and Six Sigma Methodologies and Standards

* Knowledge and experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project, Project Workbench, PMI, etc.

* Experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups with strong team management, leadership and coaching skills

* Project Management Certification (i.e. PMP) preferred

* Knowledge of outsourcing methodologies and operating models, and working with professional services firms

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to develop strong client relationships

* Bi-lingual in both Spanish and English. Fluent English, both written and verbal communications, is required.
